INDONESIA, EU ESTABLISH EU DESK TO BOOST EUROPEAN INVESTMENT
Indonesia and the European Union (EU) have launched a dedicated EU Desk to facilitate and boost EU investments in Indonesia, aiming to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve regulatory clarity. Announced by Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, the desk will serve as a service center offering market intelligence, licensing support, and investment project identification. It underscores Indonesia’s openness to strategic global partnerships and aligns with ongoing efforts to finalize the Indonesia-EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA) by year-end.The EU Ambassador to Indonesia, Denis Chaibi, highlighted that the desk symbolizes a shared ambition to foster high-quality, sustainable investments. Although the EU holds a global investment stock of US$11 trillion, its footprint in Indonesia is still limited. The initiative seeks to diversify EU investments and support Indonesia’s goals in creating jobs and advancing strategic sectors aligned with national priorities.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/359853/indonesia-eu-establish-eu-desk-to-boost-european-investment (ICE GIACARTA)
