OMAN ZIEMIAN SPOTLIGHTS GCC’S AI STARTUP BOOM, EMPHASIZING SMART AND CULTURALLY
Roman Ziemian, a UAE-based entrepreneur and ethical tech advocate, has highlighted the rapid growth of AI-powered startups across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He emphasized that the region is moving beyond AI adoption to creating scalable, culturally grounded innovations in sectors like finance, mobility, healthcare, education, and sustainability. Ziemian cited notable startups such as Tarjama, Nana, Sarwa, and Derq as examples of this momentum. He credited national strategies like UAE’s AI Strategy 2031 and Saudi Vision 2030, as well as institutions like MBZUAI, NEOM, and Hub71, for driving progress. Stressing the importance of ethical, human-centered AI, Ziemian called on startups to prioritize societal impact over profit.
