Kazakhstan to build grain processing complex in Almaty regionA grain processing complex worth 15 billion tenge will be built in the city of Konayev of the Almaty region, southeast Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a Tuesday press release.The processing capacity of the new complex will be 1,500 tonnes of grain a day.The project will be carried out by Kapshagai Bidai Onimderi, a producer of flour, animal feed and vegetable oil.The facility will include a flour mill, an oil and fat production plant, a compound feed factory and a packaging bag plant.According to the Agriculture Ministry, the products will be exported to foreign markets, with plans to supply up to 1 million tonnes to China annually, among other destinations.
