Inflation in Kazakhstan at 0.8% in June, annual inflation at 11.8%Inflation in Kazakhstan came in at 0.8% in June 2025 compared with 0.9% in May 2025, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.The annual inflation (June 2025 to June 2024) amounted to 11.8% vs. 11.3% a month earlier.In June 2025, the prices for food products increased by 10.6% compared with the same month of 2024 (9.6% in May 2025), the prices for non-food items grew by 9.4% (9% in May 2025) and for services by 16.1% (16% in May 2025).In the reporting month, the tariffs on drinking water supply rose by 96.3% year over year, water disposal services by 34.6%, central heating by 19.2%, domestic gas supply by 15.5%, hot water supply by 15.1%, electricity by 12.5%, and housing maintenance services by 12.7%.On a regional basis, inflation was above the national average in seven regions, notably the city of Almaty (13.8%), the Karaganda region (13.5%) and the city of Astana (13.1%).
