H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Than chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held on Wednesday morning, 2 July 2025 at the Amiri Diwan.The Cabinet approved the draft general agreement to connect the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) throughآ the railway project.The railway is expected to run from Kuwait, leading to Dammam, while branching towards Bahrain and Qatar via two maritime bridges which will further extend to UAE via Abu Dhabi, eventually reaching Muscat, Oman as stated by the Saudi Project. The estimated length of the railway is expected to be 2117 kilometres. (ICE Doha)
