The town of Gdańsk already has its first own energy storage facilities. In 2024, as part of a pilot project, one was installed on the premises of the kindergarten number 49. The experience of its use has been very positive, so it is planned to install another 10 energy storage facilities in public buildings. They will support the renewable energy installations operating there. A few days ago Warsaw received money for two more projects under the European Funds for Mazovia 2021-2027 programme. Nearly PLN65 m will go to investments in bicycle paths and municipal energy storage facilities produced from renewable sources. “The implementation of the aforementioned projects is another important step in building a sustainable and greener Warsaw,” said Maciej Fijałkowski, Secretary of Warsaw.
