Jordan and the European Union have signed an agreement under the PRIMA program—the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Region—aimed at enhancing cooperation in critical areas such as climate change, food security, and sustainable economic development. The signing ceremony took place in Brussels, Belgium, with Jordan represented by Mashhour Al-Rifai, Secretary-General of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, and the European Commission represented by Marc Lemaitre, Director-General for Research and Innovation. The agreement ensures that Jordan will continue to benefit from European funding dedicated to research and innovation under the PRIMA program for the period 2025 to 2027.
