Central Asia's most powerful supercomputer launched in KazakhstanPresident Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the National Alemcloud Supercomputer Center on Wednesday and participated in the launch ceremony of a supercomputer based on NVIDIA H200 graphics processing units, the presidential press service reported.Tokayev noted that the supercomputer's launch will be a significant step in the digitalization of key sectors."The supercomputer will allow Kazakhstan to achieve significant progress in developing digital technologies. Access to high-performance computing will be provided to startups developing neural network solutions, universities, research centers, as well as state and private companies," the press service said.The installation and launch of the system took place at the new data center of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry in collaboration with international partners.The new supercomputing cluster can deliver performance of up to 2 exaflops using the FP8 calculation methodology, making it the most powerful computing solution in the Central Asian region.
