Hải Phòng is poised to attract a fresh wave of investment from APEC economies as it hosts the APEC Business Advisory Council’s third meeting (ABAC III) from July 15–18. According to Lê Trung Kiên, head of the Hải Phòng Economic Zone Authority, the city will hold an investment promotion conference on July 15 titled “Hải Phòng – A Strategic Destination in the New Era.” The event will welcome ambassadors and executives from major economies including the US, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, and Japan. Hải Phòng plans to issue investment registration certificates for 32 projects and sign seven MoUs, totaling over US$15.6 billion. Delegates will also tour Tràng Duệ Industrial Park and Lạch Huyện Port, showcasing the city’s industrial and logistics strengths. City officials will introduce a proposed Free Trade Zone offering exceptional incentives to global investors, reinforcing Hải Phòng’s position as a key economic hub in the Red River Delta.
