Kazakhstan increased oil production 11.6% in Jan-JuneKazakhstan increased oil production by 11.6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2025, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin."The extractive industry continues to show high growth rates - up 8.4%, which was driven by an 11.6% increase in oil output and an 11.7% rise in coal extraction," Zhumangarin said during a Tuesday meeting of the government in Astana.Later, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhanov provided further details, stating that Kazakhstan produced 49.9 million tonnes of crude oil in January-June 2025, with exports reaching 39.6 million tonnes, a 11.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.The minister also confirmed that oil production is projected to reach 96.2 million tonnes in the twelve months of 2025.In 2024 Kazakhstan produced 87.7 million tonnes of oil.
