Kazakhstan's retail trade grew by 6.6% in Jan-JuneThe volume of retail trade in Kazakhstan in January-June 2025 increased by 6.6% to 10.075 trillion tenge year-over-year, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.Retail sales of goods by trading enterprises increased by 4.9%.The share of food products in the total retail trade volume is 30.1%, while non-food products account for 69.9%.The volume of food product sales increased by 4.8% compared to January-June 2024, while non-food product sales increased by 7.3%.As of July 1, 2025, the volume of commodity reserves held by trading enterprises (based on reporting enterprises) in retail trade amounted to 1.581 trillion tenge, equivalent to 62 days of trading.The largest shares in the total retail trade volume of the republic in January-June 2025 were held by the cities of Almaty (31.7%) and Astana (13.7%), as well as the Karaganda (7.3%) and East Kazakhstan (5.7%) regions.
