Kazakhstan's construction sector sees 18.4% growth in first half of 2025Kazakhstan's construction sector expanded by 18.4% year-on-year in the first half of 2025, reaching 3.31 trillion tenge, according to the Bureau of National Statistics.Construction and installation works grew 17.7% to 2.81 trillion tenge, while capital repairs increased 12% and current repairs jumped 34.4%. 17,174 buildings were completed during the period, including 15,673 residential and 1,501 non-residential structures.Housing construction attracted 1.545 trillion tenge in investments, representing 18.9% of total fixed capital investments. Developers financed 91.1% of housing projects through their own funds.The total area of completed residential buildings rose 6.6% to 7.93 million square meters, though average construction costs per square meter increased 11.5%.
