Kazakhstan reports 3.7% growth in agricultural production in first half of 2025Kazakhstan’s agricultural output reached 1.792 trillion tenge in the first half of 2025, marking a 3.7% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Bureau of National Statistics under the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.Livestock production accounted for 1.66 trillion tenge, up 3.2% year-on-year, while crop production rose by 14.5% to 105.1 billion tenge.As of July 1, 2025, the country’s cattle inventory grew by 8.3% to 8.832 million head, sheep numbers increased by 0.8% to 21.504 million head, horses rose by 4.7% to 4.699 million head, and poultry stock expanded by 2.7% to 47.724 million head. In contrast, goat numbers declined by 8.7% to 1.962 million head, while the pig population decreased by 3.9% to 509,200 head. (ICE ALMATY)
