The “Green Packaging Forum: EPR Journey Towards Sustainable Value” will be held on August 8, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCM City. Co-organised by Vietnam News and Law (under Vietnam News Agency) and Vinexad, the forum aims to advance Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) implementation in the packaging sector and promote sustainable development in Việt Nam. Taking place within the Vietfood & Beverage – Propack Vietnam 2025 exhibition, the event is expected to gather over 100 participants, including government officials, producers, importers, recyclers, startups, academics and policy experts. Key F&B companies such as SABECO, Suntory PepsiCo, and DUYTAN Recycling will share best practices and insights on EPR implementation. Although EPR regulations became effective in January 2024, challenges remain due to regulatory inconsistencies and limited information for businesses. In response, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has proposed a dedicated EPR decree to improve clarity and feasibility, currently open for public feedback. A highlight of the forum is a policy dialogue titled “F&B Collaboration – From EPR Obligations to Brand Value”, which will explore eco-design, collaboration models, ESG integration, and SME support. The event aims to foster multi-stakeholder dialogue and build a transparent, practical EPR system tailored to Việt Nam’s needs. (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
