72% OF JORDANIANS BELIEVE THAT THINGS ARE MOVING IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION
A poll conducted by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, titled "National and Regional Issues," found that 72% of Jordanians believe the country is moving in a positive direction, compared to 26% who feel it is moving negatively. The poll highlighted that the top priority for Jordanians is addressing unemployment and creating job opportunities for youth, with 49% of respondents emphasizing the need to reform the overall economic situation. Additionally, 11% prioritized improving public services such as health and education, while another 11% focused on finding solutions to rising prices and the high cost of living.Some of the main findings include:49% of Jordanians believe that finding solutions to unemployment and providing jobs for youth should be the primary focus.58% support the government’s decision to dissolve municipal and provincial councils and appoint committees to manage them until elections take place.44% confirm their intention to participate in the upcoming local elections.52% believe that the decision to reduce vehicle taxes benefits citizens.97% believe that Jordan’s security situation is stable.73% consider the Palestinian issue a continuing priority for the Arab world.48% believe Jordan faces security or political risks due to regional instability.91% agree that Jordan’s defense system must be enhanced in preparation for any Iranian-Israeli escalation.58% support amendments to the enforcement law concerning debtor imprisonment.86% feel safe within their society.55% believe young people are the group most affected by drug issues.
