A private equity fund Spire Capital Partners has just raised EUR90m from, among others, the European Investment Fund. Spire has also attracted private Polish investors, often former entrepreneurs who have sold their companies. The fund has a strategy that is unique for the Polish market. Investments are made at the intersection of growth capital and buyouts. Since the allocation, the team has already made its first investments. The money went to four companies from Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań and Warsaw, which together employ almost 250 people. Spire Capital is currently analysing three new projects that are at the due diligence stage. These companies operate in different industries, but they are all technology companies. Transactions may be announced in the fourth quarter of this year. (ICE VARSAVIA)
