Dubai-based ports operator DP World reported a 69% rise in profits in the first half of 2025, reaching $960 million, despite challenges such as Middle East tensions and new U.S. trade tariffs. Revenues rose 20.4% to $11.2 billion, driven by strong performance in ports, terminals, and recent acquisitions. Container volumes increased 5.6% globally to 45.4 million TEUs, with 7.7 million TEUs handled at Jebel Ali Port alone. Group Chairman and CEO Sultan Bin Sulayem credited the success to DP World's integrated global trade platform and infrastructure in key markets, which helped weather ongoing geopolitical and economic disruptions.
