TAIWAN’S FOXCONN HITS RECORD NT$44.36 BILLION Q2 PROFIT Consumer smart devices made up 35% of revenue as AI wave fuels growth
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Foxconn posted Thursday a Q2 profit of NT$44.36 billion (US$1.48 billion), a record high for the period, fueled by soaring sales of AI servers.The company said AI server revenue jumped more than 60% from a year earlier, helping cloud network products rise to 41% of total sales, per CNA. Its subsidiary, Foxconn Industrial Internet, also saw server revenue climb more than 50%, while cloud service server sales soared over 150%.Consolidated revenue for Q2 hit NT$1.79 trillion, an increase of 9% from Q1 and nearly 16% from last year, setting a new quarterly record. Gross margin stood at 6.33%, slightly higher than the previous quarter but just below last year’s level.Operating profit totaled NT$56.6 billion, with a margin of 3.16%. That compared with 2.83% in Q1 and 2.88% a year earlier, reflecting stronger profitability despite margin pressures. While the net profit margin slipped to 2.47% from 2.56% in Q1, it was still higher than 2.26% last year, reflecting stronger earnings growth.By product category, consumer smart devices made up 35% of revenue, down from 40% in Q1.
