Cenergy Holdings announced that its steel pipes segment Corinth Pipeworks is participating in the Greece–North Macedonia Natural Gas Interconnector with an additional contract.The milestone project is jointly developed by the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA, Greece) and NOMAGAS JSC (North Macedonia), and concerns the construction of a pipeline of 123 km in total length. Of the 123 km, 55 km lie in Greece and have already been awarded to Corinth Pipeworks, with and 68 km in North Macedonia. The project will link the national natural gas transmission systems of the two countries, boosting energy security in the region, improving connectivity and supporting a low-carbon emission future. The announcement concerns the awarding to Corinth Pipeworks of the supply of 28” Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) linepipe for the North Macedonian section of the project by construction contractor Rapid Bild DOO of North Macedonia. The Greece–North Macedonia Interconnector is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.
