UAE ECONOMY SET FOR ACCELERATED GROWTH THROUGH 2026, MAJOR INSTITUTIONS FORECAS
A strong consensus has emerged among the world's leading financial institutions, all projecting a period of accelerated economic growth for the United Arab Emirates through 2025 and 2026. This positive outlook is anchored by the nation's resilient non-oil economy, which will be significantly boosted by a rebound in the hydrocarbon sector. The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), in its latest Quarterly Economic Review, forecasts real GDP growth to reach 4.4% in 2025 before accelerating to a robust 5.4% in 2026. This optimistic view is shared by international bodies. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects a strong trajectory of 4.0% growth in 2025, rising to 5.0% in 2026. The World Bank is similarly bullish, upgrading its forecast for the UAE to 4.6% growth in 2025 and 4.9% in 2026, citing expanding non-oil activity and the planned phase-out of OPEC+ production cuts. This unified forecast from key global and domestic institutions signals a period of sustained expansion, driven by successful economic diversification and strategic energy policies. The outlook reinforces the UAE's position as a stable and high-growth market, offering significant opportunities for international trade and investment. (ICE DUBAI)
