UAE CEMENTS ROLE AS A GLOBAL LOGISTICS HUB AMID BOOMING NON-OIL TRADE

The United Arab Emirates is reinforcing its status as a premier global hub for trade and logistics, driven by record-breaking non-oil trade volumes and strategic government initiatives. The nation's world-class infrastructure and geographic advantage have created a powerful ecosystem for international commerce, presenting significant opportunities for businesses worldwide. According to the Central Bank of the UAE, the country's non-oil trade surpassed an impressive AED 2.8 trillion in 2024, a figure equivalent to 139% of its GDP. This remarkable performance is supported by a rapidly growing logistics market. A report by Mordor Intelligence values the UAE's freight and logistics market at approximately $21.63 billion in 2025 and forecasts it to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.90% to reach $30.19 billion by 2030. This expansion is fueled by forward-thinking government policies, including the UAE Logistics Vision 2030 and the proactive pursuit of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) with key global partners. These strategies, combined with continuous investment in infrastructure like the Khalifa Port expansion, are cementing the UAE's indispensable role in global supply chains and creating a dynamic environment for trade-focused enterprises.
