THE Department of Agriculture (DA) on Monday announced plans to launch a command center in November for smarter, data-driven food supply chain management. Data — which will be sourced from the Bureau of Plant Industry's One-Stop Industry Revitalization and Information System (Osiris) — will focus on the rice value chain. The command center will consolidate vital information on rice production, irrigation, post-harvest infrastructure, utilization and spoilage.
