Vegetable oil production in Kazakhstan grew by 24% in 7MThe production of vegetable oil in Kazakhstan from January to July 2025 increased by 24% year-over-year from 420,500 tonnes to 521,200 tonnes, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.Of this volume, sunflower oil production over the 7 months amounted to 457,700 tonnes, which is 24.5% higher than last year (367,800 tonnes).According to the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2024, Kazakhstan produced 753,000 tonnes of vegetable oil, 12% more than in 2023 (672,100 tonnes). The growth in sunflower oil production in 2024 was 18.3%.There are 88 processing enterprises operating in the republic with a total capacity of 4.7 million tonnes of oilseeds per year. (ICE ALMATY)
