Kazakhstan harvests 4.3 million tonnes of grain from 19% of sown areaKazakh farmers have harvested grain from 3 million hectares, or 18.8% of the total sown area, yielding 4.3 million tonnes to date, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.The ministry also reported the harvest of 74,200 tonnes of oilseeds, 636,200 tonnes of potatoes, 1.8 million tonnes of vegetables, and 2 million tonnes of melons.A total of 23.6 million hectares were planted for the 2025 harvest, with 16 million hectares dedicated to grain and leguminous crops.In 2024, the country's total grain harvest amounted to 26.5 million tonnes with an average yield of 1.6 tonnes per hectare.
