INDONESIA IMPORTS WEAPONS VALUED AT RP 1.06 TRILLION UNTIL JULY 2025, Mostly from UAE
From January to July 2025, Indonesia imported various weapons worth a total of $65.04 million, which is equivalent to approximately Rp 1.06 trillion. The data, from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), shows that these imports came from several countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United States, France, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Italy, and Japan. The largest portion of the imports, valued at $46.83 million, consisted of military weapons. The top supplier for this category was the UAE, followed by the United States and then Italy, which supplied 22,489 kg of weapons worth $7.36 million.Indonesia also imported bombs, grenades, torpedoes, and missiles, valued at $17.84 million, primarily from France, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. In addition, ammunition and other projectiles, worth $358,677, were imported mainly from the United States, South Korea, and Japan. Overall, the total volume of imported weapons reached 141,632 kg. The top five countries supplying weapons by volume were the UAE, South Korea, Italy, the Czech Republic, and the United States.
