ROME WELCOMES MIA 2025: ITALY’S LEADING GLOBAL AUDIOVISUAL INDUSTRY EVENT RETURN
Following the success of its 2024 edition, which welcomed over 2,800 participants, MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo returns to Rome from October 6 to 10, 2025, for its eleventh edition at the historic Palazzo and Cinema Barberini. Promoted by ANICA and APA, and directed by Gaia Tridente, MIA reaffirms its role as Italy’s leading marketplace and a key international hub for the audiovisual industry. MIA 2025 introduces a new visual identity and campaign, “All Stories Lead to MIA”, positioning Rome as the global meeting point for stories, voices, and projects. Nearly 500 projects from 81 countries were submitted to the Co-Production Market and Pitching Forum, with 62 projects in Animation, Documentary, Drama, and Film showcased. Highlights include the Book Adaptation Forum, Apollo Series training, UNBOX | Short Film Days, Vertical AI workshops, and the Industry Insider Bootcamp by UTA. The program supports the development, financing, co-production, and circulation of audiovisual works across all formats and genres, offering networking, market screenings, workshops, and conferences. MIA remains unique as a curated B2B marketplace embracing all audiovisual genres, promoting Italian talent, innovation, and global business opportunities. This year, Canada will actively participate in MIA 2025, joining the international community to explore co-productions, showcase projects, and strengthen industry connections. (ICE TORONTO)
