CREATIVE ECONOMY SECTOR INVESTMENT GROWTH REACHES EUR 4.7 BILLION
Indonesia’s creative economy saw robust growth in the first half of 2025, with investments reaching IDR 90.12 trillion—surpassing the previous year’s IDR 64.22 billion—and targeting up to IDR 183.7 trillion by 2029. Foreign investment was led by Singapore (IDR 18.65 trillion), while DKI Jakarta remained the top domestic destination. Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya highlighted this momentum during a parliamentary budget meeting, emphasizing the sector’s role in driving regional and national economic growth. Key performance targets include GDP growth (from 5.69% in 2024 to 6.12% by 2029), rising exports (USD 13 billion in H1 2025, projected to reach USD 33 billion by 2029), and labor absorption (from 26.5 million to 27.7 million workers). Fashion, crafts, and culinary products dominated exports, with market diversification expanding notably into Switzerland, Japan, and the UAE—underscoring Indonesia’s rising global competitiveness in creative industries.Source: https://voi.id/en/amp/512243 (ICE GIACARTA)
