The EBRD will allocate a €100M risk-sharing guarantee to state-owned Ukreximbank to expand lending to Ukrainian businesses. The guarantee will cover up to 50% of the credit risk. Up to €20M of risk-sharing sub-loans will be used to finance long-term business investments to upgrade technologies and equipment. Additionally, Ukreximbank approved the provision of €35M to the Astarta agro-industrial holding. The financing aims to ensure the company’s sustainable development and includes replenishing working capital, purchasing modern machinery and equipment, and refinancing investment costs incurred by the holding’s subsidiaries.As well, the EBRD is also offering a €200M risk-sharing guarantee to Raiffeisen Bank. This instrument will cover up to 50% of Raiffeisen Bank’s credit risk under new financing agreements for businesses operating in Ukraine.
