Kazakhstan's freight turnover rises 12.1% in January-AugustKazakhstan's freight turnover reached 373.7 billion tonne-kilometers in January-August 2025, a 12.1% increase compared to the same period last year, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.Pipeline transport showed the strongest growth, with its freight turnover increasing by 17.1%. Road transport turnover grew by 31.5%, while railway freight turnover rose by 7.6%.Passenger turnover also saw significant growth, reaching 59.8 billion passenger-kilometers, a 10% increase year-on-year.
