Kazakhstan's construction volume grows 18.1% in January-AugustThe volume of construction work in Kazakhstan reached 4.851 trillion tenge in January-August 2025, an 18.1% increase compared to the same period last year, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.The largest share of construction during the eight months was in engineering constructions (2.562 trillion tenge), non-residential buildings (1.497 trillion tenge), and residential buildings (792.8 billion tenge).Construction and installation work increased by 16.2% year-on-year to 4.016 trillion tenge. Major repair construction work grew by 19.5%, while current repair work surged by 36.8%.From January through August 2025, construction was completed on 24,155 new buildings, including 22,284 residential buildings and 1,871 non-residential structures.The period saw the commissioning of 140 comprehensive schools, 27 preschool institutions, 50 outpatient clinics, and one hospital.Kazakhstan's population exceeds 20 million people.
