Kazakhstan's agricultural output increases 3.4% in January-AugustKazakhstan's agricultural production reached 3.555 trillion tenge in January-August 2025, a 3.4% increase compared to the same period last year, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.Livestock production accounted for 2.262 trillion tenge of the total, showing a 3.2% growth, while crop production reached 1.254 trillion tenge, a 4% increase.As of September 1, 2025, the country recorded a 0.2% increase in cattle population to 8.621 million head, while horse numbers grew by 6.3% to 4.546 million head. The poultry population increased by 2.8% to 48.884 million head.In contrast, sheep numbers declined by 3.5% to 20.796 million head, goat population decreased by 5% to 1.840 million head, and pig numbers fell by 3.3% to 472,200 head.
