Kazakhstan's fixed capital investments grow 14.3% in January-AugustFixed capital investments in Kazakhstan reached 11.543 trillion tenge in January-August 2025, a 14.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms reported.The largest share of investments over the eight months was directed to industry, which accounted for 37.3% of all investments. This included the extractive sector (15.7%) and manufacturing (11%). Other significant sectors were real estate operations (19.4%), transportation and storage (18%), and education (7.3%).Spending on construction and major repairs of buildings and structures saw a significant increase, rising by 20.9% compared to the same period last year.The predominant source of investment remained the own funds of business entities, which totaled 7.32 trillion tenge. Investment expenditures by large enterprises amounted to 3.592 trillion tenge.State budget funds accounted for 23% of the total investment volume, while bank loans made up 3.5%. Other borrowed funds constituted 10.1%, which includes funds from non-residents at 3.2%. (ICE ALMATY)
