20,000 FRESH GRADUATES TO RECEIVE INTERNSHIPS WITH UMP SALARY; AIRLANGGA: AT LEA
The Indonesian government has launched a new internship program for 20,000 recent university graduates as part of its 2025 economic stimulus package. The initiative, announced by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, aims to bridge the gap between fresh graduates and the needs of the industrial sector. The six-month program provides participants with a monthly stipend equivalent to the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), averaging around Rp 3.3 million. The primary goal is to create a "link and match" system, ensuring that graduates gain practical experience and a higher chance of being hired by companies. The minister hopes that at least 10% of new graduates will be able to enter the workforce directly through this program. For those who have been unemployed for over a year, other government programs like re-skilling and re-training are available through the Ministry of Manpower.Source: https://www.kompas.com/jawa-barat/read/2025/09/15/181639488/20000-fresh-graduate-dapat-magang-bergaji-ump-airlangga-minimal-10 (ICE GIACARTA)
