ITALY AMONG UKRAINE’S TOP EU TRADE PARTNERS WITH $1.42B EXPORTS, $1.67B IMPORTS

Data from Ukraine’s Customs Service shows that Poland is Ukraine’s largest active trading partner among European nations. In the first eight months of the year, Ukraine exported goods to Poland worth $3.264B. Meanwhile, imports from Poland were significantly higher, totaling $5.01B. Germany ranks second: Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has sold goods to Germany worth $1.53B, while imports from Germany reached $4.24B. Exports to Italy totaled $1.42B, the Netherlands, $1.28B; and Spain, $1.20B.This year, Romania has purchased Ukrainian goods worth $929M, Hungary, $870M; Moldova, $732M; Bulgaria, $687M; the Czech Republic, $640M; France, $513M; Britain, $414M; and Portugal, $67M. The smallest export total recorded was to Iceland, at $1.8M.In addition to Poland and Germany, in 2025 Ukraine has imported the most goods from Italy, in the amount of $1.67B.
