BECOMING A MAINSTAY OF LOCAL RAW MATERIAL-BASED EXPORTS, THE GOVERNMENT Continues to Strengthen the National Furniture Industry.
The Indonesian government is committed to supporting the furniture industry, recognizing its high competitiveness and potential as a key national export driver. The government is bolstering the sector through various policies. It plans to sign a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union by the end of September, which will grant 80% of Indonesian products, including furniture, zero-tariff access to the European market. Moreover, the government is providing a 5% interest subsidy through the Labor-Intensive People's Business Credit (KUR) scheme to help businesses, particularly SMEs, with machinery and production upgrades.Source: https://www.ekon.go.id/publikasi/detail/6561/menjadi-andalan-ekspor-berbasis-bahan-baku-lokal-pemerintah-terus-perkuat-industri-furnitur-nasional (ICE GIACARTA)
