The Social Security Corporation’s annual report revealed that the average monthly salary for all retirees under its umbrella is expected to reach 497 dinars in 2024, up from 490 dinars in 2023, reflecting a slight increase in retirement income for beneficiaries. According to the report, reviewed by Al-Mamlaka, the highest average salary by retirement type was recorded for early retirement at 552 dinars per month, while occupational disability pensions were the lowest, averaging 223 dinars per month. The report also highlighted a notable gap between the public and private sectors, with new retirees from the private sector receiving an average of 650 dinars per month, compared to 438 dinars in the public sector. It further noted that 21.2% of new retirees receive less than 300 dinars per month, while 10.8% receive more than 1,000 dinars per month. (ICE AMMAN)
