Kyrgyzstan proposes establishing joint logistics centers to TurkeyKyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz have chaired the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the Kyrgyz government's press service said on Thursday.Kasymaliyev said the parties' goal is to bring bilateral trade to $5 billion in the near future."We propose establishing joint logistics centers and certification platforms so that Kyrgyz products can enter not only the Turkish market faster and more reliably, but also European markets via Turkey. Kyrgyzstan has adopted a National Development Program through 2030, and creating a regional hub is among its priorities," Kasymaliyev said.Yilmaz stressed his commitment to further develop and foster bilateral cooperation in many areas, noting the importance of increasing bilateral trade. He said he hopes for a further increase in the volume of Turkish investment in the country. (ICE ALMATY)
