According to data from the Banque du Liban (BDL), customs receipts in Lebanon during the first four months (4M) of 2025 reached LP 40.9 trillion (US$ 457.5 million) , almost three-folds higher than levels recorded in 4M 2024. Additionally, when compared to 4M-2019, customs receipts have noted a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, up from LP 641.6 billion (US$ 425.6 million at the FX rate of LP 1,507.5/US$).  As such, if this trend continues throughout 2025, an annualized estimate for customs receipts for the yearis set to reach LP 122.8 trillion (US$ 1.4 billion), up by 17.5% from LP 1.9 trillion (US$ 1.2 billion) in 2019.
