IRAN OPENS THE COUNTRY’S LARGEST COAL MINE RESCUE BASE IN TABAS

The facility, built on a 15,000-square-meter site with 4,200 square meters of indoor space, is designed to respond to mining accidents and improve safety standards across the sector.Tabas, IRNA – Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mohammad Atabak, inaugurated the country’s largest coal mine rescue and relief center in Tabas on Saturday.The facility, built on a 15,000-square-meter site with 4,200 square meters of indoor space, is designed to respond to mining accidents and improve safety standards across the sector. Officials say the specialized base will play a key role in enhancing occupational safety and mitigating risks in coal mines.Tabas is located in Iran’s northeastern province of South Khorasan, which holds about 70% of the country’s coal reserves.
