Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan met on Thursday with Federica Mogherini, Rector of the College of Europe and Director of the EU Diplomatic Academy, who visited Jordan to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Jordanian government and the College. The meeting was also attended by Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, Ambassador of the European Union to Jordan. Toukan highlighted the importance Jordan places on its partnership with the European Union, describing it as one of the Kingdom’s most significant development partners and a strong supporter of its reform agenda. She noted the EU’s role in backing Jordan’s development and reform priorities within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership announced in January 2025. The partnership outlines priorities for cooperation across multiple sectors of mutual interest, aligned with Jordan’s economic, political, and administrative modernization programs. The minister also expressed the government’s appreciation for the assistance provided by the EU to support Jordan’s national priorities. (ICE AMMAN)
