President of Kazakhstan invites Cerberus to participate in country's digital projects, Middle Corridor developmentPresident of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has invited the American private equity fund Cerberus Capital Management to participate in the republic's digital projects and to finance the development of the Middle Corridor infrastructure, the press service of the head of state reported.Tokayev met with Cerberus Capital Management CEO Frank Bruno, during his working visit to New York."Tokayev suggested that Cerberus take part in Kazakhstan's digital initiatives, noting the company's significant experience in scaling technology platforms and digital ecosystems," the press release stated.It was also reported that Tokayev highly appreciated Cerberus Capital Management's global leadership in investment management, welcoming the company's interest in financing infrastructure projects within the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).He noted that the company's strategy aligns with Kazakhstan's priorities for diversifying the national economy. The republic has actively begun expanding the route's capacity, attracting investments for the development of transport and logistics infrastructure."The head of state also noted that the signing of a historic agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington has positively impacted the growing importance of the Middle Corridor as one of the key trade routes. Over the past five years, the freight traffic volume along the TITR has increased sixfold," the press service of the head of state informed.The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route is an international transport corridor that runs through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and further on to Turkey and European countries.
