Kazpost suspends parcel deliveries to U.S.Kazakhstan’s national postal operator Kazpost has temporarily suspended the acceptance and delivery of parcels containing goods to recipients in the United States following a decision by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection dated August 26, 2025.The company said that letters and documents can still be sent without restrictions.“The restriction was introduced by the American side and applies to international postal shipments from most countries. At present, only five out of 192 Universal Postal Union member states are able to send parcels with goods to the United States,” Kazpost said in a statement.The national postal operator added that it is in contact with partners and is negotiating to restore the service as soon as possible.Kazpost, part of Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, is Kazakhstan’s national provider of postal services.
