Turkish holding Tiryaki Agro begins construction of $320 mln grain processing complex in AstanaThe construction of an agricultural complex for the deep processing of grains and legumes has begun in Astana, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported.The complex is being implemented by the company Kazak Protein, established by the Turkish holding Tiryaki Agro in partnership with the Kazakh companies Grain Consortium of Kazakhstan LLP and ADOtex LLP.The investment in the project amounts to $320 million.The project will be implemented in two stages: in 2027, a line for the deep processing of wheat with a capacity of 250,000 tonnes per year is planned to be launched, and in 2028, a line for processing legumes with a capacity of 80,000 tonnes per year will be commissioned.Upon completion, the complex will produce a wide range of products: gluten, starch, lysine, plant protein isolates, compound feeds, and other high-value-added ingredients.The products will be supplied both to the domestic market and exported to countries of the CIS, European Union, North America, and Southeast Asia.Tiryaki Agro is engaged in the processing and sale of agricultural products such as legumes, grains, nuts, oilseeds, as well as the production of animal feed. The company operates in 11 countries, sources products in over 40, and sells in over 50. (ICE ALMATY)
