The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Amman will launch discussions on Sunday for the fourth review of Jordan’s economic program under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). The talks come after the IMF Executive Board completed the third review of the program at the end of June. Beginning Sunday, the mission will meet with the Ministries of Finance, Water, Labor, and Industry and Trade, along with other ministries, senior government officials, and representatives of the Central Bank of Jordan. According to a source who spoke to Al Mamlaka, the discussions are expected to conclude within two weeks. A successful review would pave the way for the disbursement of a new tranche of around $134 million to Jordan under the IMF-supported program. (ICE AMMAN)
