FAA AND CAAS SIGN ENHANCED AVIATION SAFETY AGREEMENT

The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) have signed an enhanced Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement – Implementation Procedures for Airworthiness (BASA-IPA). The agreement streamlines the validation process for certain aircraft modification designs between the FAA and CAAS. In addition, the FAA will now recognise CAAS approvals for minor aircraft modification, all aircraft repair, and minor changes to article designs. The agreement will benefit Singapore-based companies that require US approvals for their work or whose customers demand such approvals, said CAAS Director-General Han Kok Juan.   https://sbr.com.sg/aviation/news/faa-and-caas-sign-enhanced-aviation-safety-agreement (ICE SINGAPORE)
