PH PORTS BUSINESS SEEN BOOSTING ICTSI RECEIPTS

FASTER Philippine ports sector growth due to resilient consumption and trade could benefit global port operator International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) in terms of higher revenues, Maybank said. In a Sept. 25 report, Maybank reinforced its “buy” rating on ICTSI, which operates the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), the country’s largest and most advanced international container terminal and ICTSI’s flagship operation. Maybank noted that ICTSI “continues to benefit from its scale and operating efficiency, reinforcing its position as the country’s dominant port operator.” “Foreign containers continue to dominate the country’s throughput, accounting for 66 percent of total volume, consistent with the Philippines’ import-heavy trade structure,” it added. Volumes on the domestic side make up 34 percent with Manila/Northern Luzon handling about half and Southern Mindanao accounting for 16 percent of throughput, the report said.   https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/09/29/business/corporate-news/ph-ports-business-seen-boosting-ictsi-receipts/2191662 (ICE SINGAPORE)
