Kazakhstan's new grain harvest exports up 7.5% in SeptemberKazakhstan exported 777,000 tonnes of grain from the new harvest in the first 25 days of September, a 7.5% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.Shipments to several key markets saw significant growth. Exports to Uzbekistan rose by 31% to 327,000 tonnes, while supplies to Tajikistan increased by 15% to 133,000 tonnes. Exports to Kyrgyzstan quadrupled to 25,000 tonnes, and shipments to Azerbaijan doubled to 12,000 tonnes.According to operational data from the national railway company, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the total volume of new-harvest grain transported by rail in this period exceeded 1 million tonnes, a 14% year-on-year increase. Of this total, 258,000 tonnes were shipped for domestic consumption.As of September 25, the grain harvest in Kazakhstan has been completed on 10.9 million hectares, representing 68.2% of the total sown area, with 16.6 million tonnes of grain already threshed.
