Facility producing 150 tonnes of feed protein per month opened in Akmola regionThe opening of a new enterprise, Agro Protein LLP, specializing in the production of feed protein, took place in the Akmola region, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported on Monday."The production capacity of the enterprise is over 150 tonnes of raw materials per month. The processing uses hides of cattle, horses and other farm animals as a base. The resulting feed protein is used in the diets of poultry, fish, horses, sheep and cattle," the statement said.The investment project was implemented within the framework of the state policy on the development of the agro-industrial complex and is aimed at reducing dependence on imported feed additives, increasing the productivity of livestock and fish farming.According to the report, adding protein can increase the efficiency of using standard feed by up to 40%, which improves farm growth and productivity indicators."Initial contracts have already been signed with fish farms, and negotiations are underway to supply products to the dairy industry," the Ministry of Agriculture noted.In the future, Agro Protein LLP plans to expand capacity and launch a second production line for the production of compound feed and mono-feed.
