Kazakh, Italian presidents exchange state honors, vow to deepen tiesKazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Italian President Sergio Mattarella with Class 2 Dostyk Order (Friendship) recognizing his contribution to strengthening relations between Kazakhstan and Italy."Our political dialogue is developing at a high level. I particularly value your efforts in this direction," Tokayev said during the award ceremony on Monday in Astana.He expressed confidence that the friendship between the two nations would continue to grow."I am convinced that the agreements reached during today's talks will give additional impetus to the strategic partnership. We are ready to work together on this path," Tokayev said.In turn, Mattarella presented the president of Kazakhstan with Italy's highest award - the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic."I am deeply grateful for your efforts to uphold international order and maintain peace.
