IEU-CEPA TO HELP IRON OUT ‘ANY’ REMAINING BILATERAL TRADE ISSUES

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement sealed by Indonesia and the European Union (IEU-CEPA) on Tuesday (23/9) after 10 years of wrangling, will help tackle any remaining trade disagreements between the two sides, a senior EU lawmaker has said. The CEPA signing would “solve all outstanding issues in our bilateral dispute,” Bernd Lange, who first joined the European Parliament in 1994, told The Jakarta Post on 17 September, referring to tariffs and policies contested at the World Trade Organization, including those on nickel and biodiesel. Businesses on both sides welcomed the pact as the two represent large market bases and significant investment potential.Source: https://www.thejakartapost.com/business/2025/09/24/ieu-cepa-to-help-ion-out-any-remaining-bilateral-trade-issues.html (ICE GIACARTA)
